Catmint Cottage Sydney Rescue Incorporated is a Sydney, N.S.W. Australia based charity which specializes in rescuing street cats. We are not a shelter but a group of hard working volunteers who rescue, foster, medicate, socialise and advertise our rescued cats with the aim being to find them a home of their own. All cats are housed at members' premises and/or that of foster carers. Cats deemed unsuitable for adoption remain as sanctuary cats.
In 2015 we became a registered charity. Donations are the life force that keep us working to save lives. |

OUR HISTORY
The birth of Catmint Cottage began in 2004 after coming home from a night out with a friend. Four kittens scampered across the dark road in front of our car as we turned into our street. That was the beginning but of course we did not know it then.
Our story began to write itself. Those four kittens eventually became ours after the neighbors stopped feeding them. Nobody owned them. There were three females and a male. Celia, Missie, Mia and Cod. Missie died last year and Cod the year before that. Mia and Celia have also passed on, both in their teens.
At the height of the problem there were thirty cats and kittens colonising the yards of nearby houses and the street. Not an auspicious beginning at all.
I thought that it might be timely to start sharing some of those stories now. Stories of making the impossible possible. Please click on the link below.
