Currently Scarlett's diet consists of raw chicken mince and raw roo meat for the main meal. She would do equally well on commercial wet food and small amounts of dry food. the main thing is to watch her weight.
Scarlett has been with us for seven years. I feel terrible to even say that. UnfortunatelyScarlett hates meeting people! She is apt to hiss at them! If you have ever felt the same way then you might be her person!
We rescued Scarlett from the pound ten minutes before she was due to be killed as a four month old....because she couldn't be handled. (see photo from pound).
Scarlett lives peacefully with us and the numerous other rescues at Catmint Cottage but we struggle to give her the kind of attention she should have.
Recently Scarlett went for a trial adoption. During the phone conversation and emails I explained she would need to be crated initially and introduced slowly to the household but I later discovered this was not done. However, when the trial was aborted just two days later I did discover that she never missed a meal and was fine with the adult daughter patting her. So it may have been a misunderstanding or a miscommunication.
. She's a sweet cat who loves affection. She is currently with us in Fairfield.
