Alberta has an infinite range of facial expressions. She can be the wide eyed surprised innocent or the demanding injured 'missed out on dinner' cat. She would like to be 'model of the year' cat since she can eat like a horse, remain slim and likes to work the camera. If she had access to social media I have no doubt she would have done videos of herself prancing around and meowing to music. But let's not fool ourselves, Alberta can manipulate. Perhaps she is a born actress playing a role so at times she comes through as the poor little waif and at others the Mata Hari of cats, snooping around inside to see what is going on and then escaping back to the courtyard to keep an eye on things there. Like all (or most?) actresses, she is sensitive though. She likes to observe people and weigh them up before trusting their intentions. No she isn't a lap cat. She gets on well with other cats though, if that helps. Yes she likes attention so will probably be your life time companion and end up on your lap anyway. What else? When challenged by humans Alberta presents a surprised wide eyed what-do-you-mean kind of look and manages to keep it in place when we laugh out loud. Having been born to a street mother she was trained early on never to fall for the 'admission of guilt.' So if you are inclined to adopt something a little different to the usual boring moggy who sits and washes itself and sleeps until food time then Alberta just might be your cup of tea. And if you do decide that Alberta is more cat like than you thought then at least you can take great photos of her many expressions and spread her face on social media which was likely her plan in the first place.
